Exposition in Tusse de Banke in Den Burg on Texel
Pieter Adriaans and Jean-Noël Duchemin have an exposition in the gallery Tusse de Banke in Den Burg on Texel from august the 6-th till the 17-th.
They met for the first time on the Azores in 2001 where Pieter lives part of the year. Both painters take water and the sea as their inspiration, but deal with this theme in a completely different way. Pieter makes more or less realistic panoramic land- and seascapes where man and his relation to nature are central. Jean-Noël is fascinated by the romatic stories about pirates from authors like Robert Louis Stevenson. He has created his own colorful world of mermaids and pirates. He uses old sails and pieces of hulls to paint on.
There is an opening at friday august the 6th at 16 h.
