Painting of the Faja da Caldeira de Santo Christo

Recently I was asked to do a painting for the meeting room of the Junta de Freguesia de Ribeira Seca on Sao Jorge. They wanted to have a view on the famous faja de Caldeira de Santo Christo. We decided on a panoramic view (150 x 70 cm). We wanted to stress the unique quality of the spot. The quiet water in the lagoon in which the church is reflected, the waves breaking on the dam, the vulcanic slopes that rise almost vertically above the faja. One of the most beautful spots in Europe.
