Pieter sets a 'Piece' on the Counterculture Festival

May 29 2010 the yearly Counterculture festival was held. This time Pieter was invited to make a piece on the festival. Here is the 2,5 by 2.5 meter MangaMusicGirl is almost finished. "A couple of years ago I visited the festival, that is co-organized by my daughter Ingrid. I was really impressed by the graffitti artists. They make a large painting out in the open in a couple of hours in front of a large crowd. It is something I have always wanted to do. So I was really happy when the people from the festival asked me. I started early in the afternoon, because there would  be some rain. It took me 3,5 hours to finish the painting. Just when I finished the first drops of rain started to fall. I did it in acrylics. I have used spray paint in the past, but that is not really my material. Although I would like to give it a try again. Maybe next year. "
